Our “Immersion Events”
What makes City Speakeasy different from other foreign language classes? Each of our eight-week classes culminate in an “Immersion Event,” a social experience tailored to fun-loving New Yorkers and led by your teacher. You’ll get to practice speaking conversational Spanish, French, Japanese, or any other language as you enjoy wine tasting, salsa dancing, or cooking coq-au-vin with your classmates.
Our class trips give you the opportunity to test your language skills in real conversations. These events are intended to mirror how you might spend your time while traveling abroad. The next time you need to order a drink in Paris, entertain businessmen in Tokyo, or ask a stranger to dance in Madrid, you’ll have the confidence of a native speaker!
