After this period no refunds will be given. *Full refund with return of unused Textbook and Immersion Guide. If the books are not returned, we will take $40 out of your refund.

Class Transfer Policy

If after the first class you realize you’re in the wrong level or would like to move class days, please email and let them know and we will do our best to accommodate moving you to a new class. Transferring you is dependent on class capacity.

Semester Transfer Policy

If you would like to transfer to a class in a different semester, we can move you under 3 conditions:

1. Your current semester must be before week 4.
2. You must pay a $75 transfer fee.
3. There must be enough room in the class you are requesting to move into to hold you.

Please email and let us know and we will do our best to accommodate moving you to a new semester.

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy

You must cancel 24 or more hours before your scheduled lesson. Our management and teachers need time to coordinate these private lessons, so any time within 24 hours will be non-refundable. Thanks for your understanding!

Class is more fun with friends. Have a friend sign up for a class and type your name into the “How did you hear about us?” – “Friend” Box when registering and we’ll give you 50 bucks back! No limit to the savings!(or friends!) How great is that!? * This can only be redeemed by new City Speakeasy Students. ** This cannot be redeemed if using a coupon or discount of any kind.

Age Requirement

Since there is alcohol present in some of our Language Classes, you must be 21 or over in age to take a class. *This age requirement does not apply to Private Foreign Language Lessons.

Class Minimum Enrollment

Our classes have a minimum of 5 students in order to run. If we need to push the class back, your tuition will be honored or we will refund you in full.

Makeup Lesson Policy

Not to worry if you miss a class! Our curriculum is setup so that you will know what lesson is taught each and every class, there or not. You will be equipped right from the get-go with all the study materials and homework you will need to ensure you’ll be caught up for the next class (provided you do your homework, of course!). Additionally, you will receive our proprietary “Absent & Review” packet at the end of each class. This assures nothing falls through the cracks. On top of that, you will have access to your teacher’s and classmates’ emails so you can freely email the teacher and/or students with questions or ask for help. It’s common for our students to even meet up for “study groups” on nights when class isn’t being held. And if that’s not enough and you feel you still need more help getting back up to speed, you can email us and sign up for a private lesson. (*Note: We pay our teachers for their time, so this private lesson will be charged.)

It’s extremely important to us that we meet your needs, so if you know you are going to miss a class, please let your teacher know beforehand so they can make sure you have all you need. and sign up for a private lesson.
